TSC Approves 3685 Delocalized Teachers’ Transfer Letters
TSC Approves 3685 Delocalized Teachers’ Transfer Letters. The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has approved 3,685 delocalized teachers’ transfer petitions.
The TSC County Directors made the transfer letters available for printing and distribution to the appropriate teachers.
The County Directors have already delivered transfer letters to a sizable number of the delocalized teachers.
Teachers who applied for inter-regional roles had fewer transfers than those who applied for inter-county positions.
According to the Commission, 15,824 delocalized professors had been moved by April of this year.
When the Senate National Cohesion Committee questioned TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia about hiring and transferring teachers, she revealed this.
According to Macharia, more transfers for instructors who applied would be made while taking crucial factors into account.
Surprisingly, the senators’ call for the delocalization plan to be reinstated came after they forewarned that some areas would be understaffed if teachers were allowed to return to their preferred home counties.

The commission sends teachers who request transfers back to their home counties, subject to employment opportunities. As of April, 15,824 teachers had been moved by the commission to the counties of their choice, according to Mrs. Macharia.
Mr. Mandago criticized the National Assembly for forcing TSC to change its delocalization program. Article 10(2)(b) of the Constitution, which states that “human dignity, equity, social justice, inclusiveness, equality, human rights, non-discrimination, and protection of the marginalized” are among the national values and guiding principles, is allegedly violated, according to his argument.
“As the upper house,” he said, “we need to evaluate and disapprove that decision.
The Kenya Kwanza platform pledges to “replace this policy with a nationalization programme that will reward teachers who choose to serve in other parts of the country” in order to address the challenge that teachers are experiencing as a result of delocalization.
