TSC Message to JSS Teachers over Delayed Salaries
TSC Message to JSS Teachers over Delayed Salaries. 35,550 junior secondary school teachers were hired by the Teachers Service Commission and reported to their posts in February and March 2023.
The high number deployed to junior secondary schools was to fill gaps of vacancies for Grade 7 learners.
Among the reasons of delay salaries is due to late submission of staff numbers in junior secondary schools which was to be submitted by various county directors.
The recruits are given 30 days to report to their respective stations as per protocol, thus some start their jobs later than others. The processing of their salaries is occasionally delayed as a result of this. Over 50% of the salaries of the recently hired teachers have already been processed by the Commission. Teachers can check with their local banks to confirm the payments.
We apologize for any delays that may have resulted from teachers reporting to their stations after hours or from the late submission of necessary paperwork. The goal is to have all wages in effect by May 2023.
Complains have risen heavily from the junior secondary school teachers but hope is guaranteed from this May 2023.
