KRA Announces Job Opportunities for Graduate Trainees; How to Apply. The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has recently announced an opening to train tax administration professionals as part of its Graduate (GT) programme. The program focuses on university graduates aged 28 and under, recruiting high caliber individuals from recognized universities.
To apply for this position, applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree and have a minimum average of C+ or equivalent in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) with C+ or above in English and Mathematics. Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite are essential requirements.
In addition, applicants must provide a certificate of good conduct and copies of documents such as KRA PIN certificate, National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and identity card. The last date to apply for this post is 29 October 2023.
In an effort to improve tax compliance, KRA has trained more than 1,400 officers in the field and market. These officers have completed two months of training and will serve as revenue service assistants to assist with online job registration and verification of taxpayer information.
KRA has set an ambitious target of collecting KSh 2.7 trillion in tax revenue in the 2023/2024 financial year following the implementation of the Finance Act 2023 which introduced various new taxes.
