List of the 18 regions across the country that will be affected by KPLC’s 8-hour blackout today. On February 12, Kenya Power, which trades on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) under the ticker KPLC, declared an 8-hour blackout in 19 Nairobi estates.
A power outage would affect the estates and some areas of Homa Bay County from 9:00 am to 5:00 am.
Kenya Power explained the cause of the widespread blackout as “scheduled routine network repair,” which may affect some locations.
Dandora Phases 3, 4, and 5 in Nairobi, HZ & Company Limited, and nearby clients are among the affected regions.
Dandora Phases 1 and 2, Dandora Market, Korogocho, Kamunde Road, and surrounding customers will also be impacted.
From 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Kenya Cooperative Creameries (KCC), a unit of Umoja, and nearby customers may also experience power interruptions, according to Kenya Power.

According to Kenya Power, the outage will affect Komarock Estate, a portion of Mowlem, a portion of Mungetho, and their surrounding clients.
The outage will also affect Candy Kenya, Spectore, Eagle Plain Estate, St. Bakhita School, Odds and Ends, C and P, Vitafoam, and the businesses nearby in Nairobi.

Riat Market, God Nyango Primary School, Kosira Primary School, Nyafare Market, Yadhelo Primary School, Otunga Water Point, Aramo School, and nearby clients are just a few of the Riat and Aramo areas that may be impacted.
