President William Ruto has a fully functioning government due to the recent completion of the Principal Secretary.
On Friday, December 2, 2022, the Head of State officially appointed 51 people who will be PS in various positions in the Cabinet of Ministers.
In a press release issued by House Speaker Hussain Muhammed, the president confirmed that the PS will also be sworn in today.
“In exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 155 (3) (b) of the Constitution, I, William Ruto, the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Forces of the Republic of Kenya, hereby appoint the following as Secretary. – General. Government of the Republic of Kenya.
The announcement came a day after the Labor Court issued an injunction to stop the swearing in of all PSs. The court held that these requirements were improperly filed and therefore dismissed the petition to allow Ruto to take the oath of office in the PS.
