IEBC Job Vacancies 2023. The sole organization in Kenya with the authority to oversee all electoral matters is the Independent Electoral and Boundary Commission. The commission is incharge of elections in the country and ensures the process is done as per the constitution.
Every five years, elections are typically held. In some circumstances, if a by election occurs, some may come before then. The commission is looking to hire personnel for various positions. They will be responsible for making sure that the necessary preparations are made in advance of any upcoming elections in order to prevent injustices.
All of the necessary conditions have been stated in the advertisements that have been published on the official IEC website. All qualified and interested candidates are now urged to act quickly and submit their applications before the deadline.
Whereas the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Act, 2011 (referred to as the IEBC Act) and the First Schedule thereto, as well as Articles 88, 166(3), and 250 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010, specify the composition of the IEBC and the procedure for choosing its chairperson and commissioners.
AND WHILE HIS EXCELLENCE THE PRESIDENT DECLARED ONE (1) VACANCY FOR THE POSITION OF CHAIRPERSON OF THE IEBC AND FIVE (5) VACANCIES FOR THE POSITION OF MEMBER OF THE IEBC BY A GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 1901 OF 14 FEBRUARY 2023;
Consequently, the Selection Panel for the Appointment of the Chairperson and Commissioners of the IEBC invites applications from eligible individuals who abide by the IEBC Act and the requirements of the Constitution as follows:

a) Following the conclusion of this advertisement, the names of all applicants and the dates and times of the interviews for those who have been shortlisted will be published in print publications, the Kenya Gazette, and on the Parliamentary Service Commission website at www.parliament.go.ke.
b) Only those who have been shortlisted will be called for interviews.
